I hate spring. It's ugly, and it's a winter tease. It's been nice and warm all week, and today. . . it looks like it'll be snowing all day. Oh well, at least I'm indoors. Right?

The deed is done. All of my ethernet devices are on CAT6. Is there really a difference? Some would argue that it's a waste of money. I don't know every detail about the science of it all, but I know when you're always movie cables around, there is wear and tear on the ports. . . and a loose jack, or pinched cable, seems to impact the connection. In any case, it was something to do.

To celebrate my sisters birthday, we decided to just have dinner and a movie. We went to a local restaurant that has the best food, but some of the worst service. It was around 8:30, and we knew 'closing' was 9. The had the 'open' light off, but the posted hours say 9. We notice there are still people dining in, and decide to give it a shot. Of course, we are greeted with "dining room is closed, but we can take orders for carry out". I'm not completely heartless. I understand people want to go home at night. I myself can get furious when someone is keeping me past my shift. Even so, I'm not one to turn someone away just because it's near close. Normally I don' t dine in, because something irritating always happens. But it all works out. No dine in, no tip for them. Anyway, we place our order and wait in the waiting area. They had already put one of their floor mats on the chair, so it was either sit on the dirty floor mat, slap it to the floor like  a jerk, or just stand. Aside from that, the workers were cool, and the food was great. We did make the mistake of watching Precious while eating. . .  and that's not the type of movie you want to watch while having dinner.

I went to sleep the other night. . . like all night. . . and I like it. I like the dreams and waking up feeling. . . ok. It's been getting warmer around here, so it's not nearly as depressing as it's been.

I've been reading up on some fun Sega rumors, and it would be cool if they really put out a new system. In the meantime, I think I'll beef up my Dreamcast collection. This little white box has been dead for forever. Time to give it some love. Shenmue, Sonic, here I come.

Aw, it's my sisters birthday today. Be sure to wish her happy birthday!

Seriously, what the hell is with these last minuet plans. Everyone I talk to knows that I work every day from January to April, no days off scheduled. I'd like to take days off, but aside from money. . . there are just things that need to get done, and I'd like to be there to do them. I wouldn't mind taking a day off, but it would be easier on everyone if I had at least a weeks notice. If something comes up, and you think I should be included. . . if the 'event' is less than a week out, then it's just too late. I can't wait to get weekends back. . . and evenings too.

I'm getting used to eating  a whole pizza over the weekend. I'm starting to love putting ranch dressing on a pizza. It sounded like the most disgusting thing when I first heard it, but when you try it. Mmm. Well, here comes my pizza guy. Later.

I'm in zombie mode. That is all.

So I'm feeling terrible, and all I want to do is rest. . . but I have to do a pick up at the airport tonight. When I go to the air port, that means it's an hour drive for me to get out there, and hour and a half to drive to the second destination, and a half hour to make it back home. . . if all goes well. Naturally, on a day where I'm feeling terrible, and have this extra deed to do late at night, I was looking forward to taking a nap for a few hours after work. Of course, I get called into my second job, so naps are out of the question. So I'm at my second job, feeling terrible, and can't help but notice the thick fog billowing into town. Now that I'm driving from my second job, it's going to take me about 2 hours to get to the airport, not 1. Of course the fog makes the drive very slow.  So I make it to the airport, and drive in circles for an hour (because heaven forbid you park in the pick up area.) About a half our after arrival was supposed to happen. . . I get the call. The plane can not land because it's too foggy. . . but it could be a few hours late. . . we don't know at the moment. Of course.  So on a day when I wanted to be fast asleep by 5PM, looks like I won't get to bed until about 3AM. Not to mention, the next two days in a row will be 12+ hour days. Nice. What luck.

I'm not feeling quite as terrible today. I'm able to see and breath without any medication, but I'm still so uncomfortable. I noticed that aside from being sick, there was an air quality alert in my area over the past few days. Maybe it's the pollution?

I had to join real life again today. I feel like I'm back in school, where you're sick and forced to be around everyone else that's sick. I can't really think clear at the moment, but wish me luck!

Wow. I feel so terrible, I can't believe I still have my head up. Still, it's lucky. I'm all by myself at the moment, so at least I won't be getting anyone else sick.

I still feel awful, but a different awful. I do not have meds today, but my eyes and nose will not stop running. Maybe these are allergies? Maybe I'm crying? Who knows, but I feel like crap. Oh well. Pressing on. . .

Today I survived on cold medication . . . which does not go well with energy drinks. My day was full of panic, but my symptoms were not as obvious. I wonder how sleep will go tonight.
